Molded Foam Company is seeking a Full-Time Continuous Improvement/Quality
Engineer to join their team.

The Continuous Improvement/Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring product conformance and leading process improvements in manufacturing and distribution operations. This position will develop, implement, and maintain prevention-based systems to control process and products; facilitate continuous improvement and ensure the adequacy of skills and knowledge of employees in the quality department through training and development.

Provides supplier control, conformance testing preventive-based control systems,
problem-solving product/system audits, quality training, quality of cost evaluation, continuous improvement efforts, quality surveys, and capability studies.

Communicate with suppliers concerning quality issues. Work with transactional buyers and strategic procurement on vendor performance.

Work with Product Development as needed as they set product specifications. Determine incoming test frequencies and manufacturing test frequencies.

Train others in areas of proficiency or expertise as needed to ensure quality and continuous improvement efforts are carried out in all areas of the operation.

2-3 years experience in Quality standard compliance/managing people.

2-3 years related experience and /or training in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Duties:Develop a culture of employee engagement using key tactics of: regular and frequent communication, performance reviews, wages based on performance.

Works with employees on continuing education and learning.

Acts as a team leader of the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality System and Continuous Improvement functions within the plant.

Provides supplier control, conformance testing, preventive-based control systems, problem-solving product/system audits, quality training, quality of cost evaluation, continuous improvement efforts, quality surveys, and capability studies.

Maintains professional and/or technical knowledge by actively participating in training and cross-training activities and assignments, reviewing materials or publications, and participating in professional organizations as applicable.

Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly KPIs as requested and keeps other KPIs for internal control and analysis. Participates in weekly plant KPI review.

Understands and follows all organizational policies, procedures and rules, ensuring that all laws are obeyed and equal employment, safety and environmental protection are practiced.

Job will occasionally require more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hrs in a week.

Work with other staff members as a collaborative team member to achieve the Operation goals and objectives.

Provide internal audit systems for product and process control.
